Captain Butch and Captain Chris, Gentlemen, we went out with you on June the 18th. It was a fantastic day for all of us!!! The weather was beautiful and the "Bite was on". We know that doesn't always happen so that was a bonus. However know that one of the best parts of the day was your company! "Good People," comes to mind.

You better warn Capt.Chris that the Ladies that were on board will probably be bringing their neices and daughters with them next time!! Tell him not to run but they're wanting to yell "Man On"!!

In all sencerity, absolutley one of the best days of my life. Would like to book again for sometime in Oct. but please let us know if Chris is going to be working during the fall break and when that is!! ...[Be scared Chris...just kidding!!!]

ps-If you still have some digital pix's could you please email to the above address.

Regards and thanks again---Don Cable

Captain Chris and Captain Butch,

We enjoyed the trip so much and I have to admit one of the most

Capt Butch,

Just to let you know, I motored the Hooked Up to the Tower on Sunday, where we found a hot Mahi bite. We had 15 strikes, boated 8,( 3 over 20 lbs), and lost a few at the stern. Even had 2 strikes that snapped 30 lbs test after a 200 yard run!! It was a good day!.

The boat you mentioned that capsized at the tower was about a 24-28" boat. We are unsure the details, but we saw those men suiting up as if they were diving. They had a dive flag atop their T-top, and were very closer to the base of the tower. Then I believe it was like 2 hours later, we saw the v- hull sticking up out of the water, and around the hull looked like a yard sale!! There was stuff everywhere. Another boat was already at the hull, and I believe that they assistedthe guys. I am unsure of the situation, and we could never raise anyone on the radio. Did you get any more information on that? If so, I would love to know. Anyways, I just thought I would give you our fishing report. Thanks

Jeremy

Capt. Butch and crew,

I would first like to say thank you very much for answering my questions, it seems a lot of captains are tight lipped and don't want to talk to you unless you have a 40' yacht to fish on. It is refreshing to find people who still know what it is all about(FUN), and don't mind sharing some knowledge. This is only my 3rd season offshore fishing so I am like a sponge trying to soak up all the info I can. But anyway, we are headed out this weekend, so hopefully we can put the tips you gave me to good use and load the coolers with some nice mahis and cobia. I'll let ya know.

Thanks again,

Daniel

Hi Butch, Chris & Bodie,

Sorry it took me so long to sign the guestbook, but it has been a little hectic since we got back.

As usual, I cannot express the enjoyment we had. It seems like each time we go out fishing with you guys it is more enjoyable than the last, and I always wonder how it can get any better, but, ya'll always seem to prove me wrong (and I am so glad you do). I cannot wait 'til we can come back again, hopefully this fall. Till we see you again, may god bless you.

Love,

Oh yeah, Dale said he's sorry the jerky was too hot, but he is glad that Bodie shared it with Chris.

First I would like to say that I like your site and find it informative. Me and my dad fish out of Little River, SC and I was wondering if you had some good tips on Cobia fishing in the area you could share. Also was wondering about chumming, what kind of setups do you use. Finally I was wondering if it is possible to catch Dolphin closer inshore, say Jungle area or Christina's Ledge, during the middle of the summer. Any information would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks, Daniel

I fish the Southport area. How far out would I have to go to catch some keeper black bass? I also read about fishing the Cape Fear River bouy for black bass, it has a hard bottom. Is this what I should be looking for? I limited to going about 8 miles out.

Capt.Butch,

Your fishing reports save us a lot of time and especially money. I own a boat with a single engine and I really do not have a lot of time or gas running around the ocean looking for bait balls. You always let is know where to start looking and I always try to go the day after you. Maybe one day we can get hooked up and go together to the Tower. We were out there last Sunday 4-2-06 and had a great time. I was so sore Monday from being tossed around in the boat that I could barely move. Please keep in touch and Fish On.

Captain Butch, I agree with the local gas man. You do take criticizm like a real man.I am aware of the smart a--ed reamrks that a local self proclaimed boat dealer has said to you. I even overheard the factory represenative admit to you that he(the boat dealer) had said some things that were very detremental to you.But then again, what else can one expect from someone that knows everything about everything and is never wrong. I can't believe you have not sued for slander and depredation of character, but, then again, you are a better man than him. Don't worry, his unethical ways and smart remarks he makes to every one will eventually do him in. Keep up the GREAT work, you are a captains captain and a mans man!!!!

Capt. Butch,

Finally got a chance to go to the tower on Sunday April 2nd. Water Temp was 67*, clarity was great, not a cloud in the sky, wind blowing 15-20kts all day, seas 3-5ft. We got a late start and did not get to the tower until 11:00am after a very rough ride out. We were not the only ones out there, there was approx. 6 - 8 other boats and all of us were comunicating back and forth. Lines in at 11:00am and right off we heard the reel scream and the line came down from the outrigger. After about a 10 minute fight the King was landed. Our first for the 2006 season. Lines back in the water 15 minutes later another hit with the reel screaming, after a short fight we landed a Tunnie. The bite quit so we decided to bottom fish on the north side of the tower. We caught several black bass, snappers, trigger fish and Amberjack. It started getting rough so I made the call and around 3:00 we pulled anchor and started heading back to the marina. After a 2 Hr boat ride we made it back safel

Hello Captain, just read your post on FullSpeedfishing. I just came back from fishing Ft. lauderdale, Stuart, and Boca Raton. First time for me on the East coast and amazed how warm the water was. 72 degree vs. our 52 degrees. Oh well it was a blast catching 8 lb King Fish, small Dolphins and assortment of rock fish not familiar with. Cauhjt a huge Anmber Jack about 80 lbs but was sawed off by a Bull Shark at the rail. Best part of the trip, you fish just a mile or so off shore. We kust bought a condo in Boca Raton so I'll be returning soon. Now just need to look for another C.C. for the area. In November going on a 13 dayer out of Sandiego aboard the Shogun with Henry MAze and Tyrus both members of Full Speed. Keep up with the fishing reports, i may come out and give it a try. I used to work in Greenville, NC.

As Rick has probably told you, we are just learning how to fish offshore & we could spend alot of time & money chasing empty water, but with your help I know you've narrowed the gap of our coming home empty handed. We're going to give it a shot Sunday. Hope to see you there. Fish On! - Clay

I'm a very proud supporter of Yeah Right Charters. I don't know much about fishing but I can tell everyone two things: one, is look at the fishing reports and you'll see how we'll fishing goes with these two captains. Two is the owners and captains of Yeah Right Charters are some of the best people you could ever meet let alone go fishing with. Whoops, I can't forget about the Bodie man. It's one thing to be on a boat to just fish and it's a whole other to be on a boat with knowledgable, friendly, and confident, Captains.

FISH ON!

Even through my short time of coming to know both Captain Butch and Chris Foster is rather short, they have already proven their some of the best around. Rather it be finding the best fishing spot, learning the proper techniques, or just getting your own boat equipped, these guys have really helped a novice fisherman like myself. I wouldn't hesitate for a minute booking a trip because I know I will not only learn how to be a better fisherman, but will likely have plenty of food in the fridge as well. Thanks again to Captain Butch and Captain Chris for all that you have helped me with... it truley means a lot!

Hey, do you guys practice catch and release with the marlins you sometimes hook up with. I did not know if you are even aloud to keep these fish since they are endangered??

Butch, man for a newcomer to the world of salt water fishing our trip was an incredible. I hope we did not get in your way too much. I really enjoyed learning so much from one of the best fishermen around and I can't wait to get back out on the water. I really appreciated the kindness you and your wife showed us and I know the rest of the guys did as well. For anyone who has not gone out with Butch, I would highly recommend it because I am sure it will be an awesome day on the water. Hope to see you guys again soon and keep reelin them in.

I read in an article on fish and game's website that the Spiny dog fish/shark are indangered species and that a few guys were caught and fined heavily for their catch of sharks/fish. Are you catching and keeping the same fish that are indangered?

Captain Foster,

Just to let you know that your fishing reports are appreciated. I follow your advise regularly and find it very helpful. Keep on with the good work and do not let what a few others are saying bother you. From a friend and fellow fisherman, aboard the GIT-R-DONE

Butch,

This is in reference to article we read on fishing report dated 03/13/06.

It seems to us that the "captains" that are complaining are a little bit jealous or they do not like the idea that you are willing to let some one that is not a charter captain or commercial fisherman know where, how and when to catch the fish. Either way, that is a problem they need to deal with. As for Dale & myself, we enjoy very much reading about your trips, whether it being a charter or commercial trip. And furthermore I can't see us booking a trip with any one else but you, considering the outcome of our past trips. "But", don't get the idea that it is you, because really it is Bodie. Can;t wait to see ya'll again. Love Dale & Ella.
